SHIUR tel aviv: new fire, old darkness

SHIUR tel aviv: new fire, old darkness

OCT 18, 2025 | tEL aviv | 8pm

The summer and autumn holidays are over, bringing back a cold darkness, both metaphorically and literally. The brief period of unity and collective response following October 7 is now a memory, as old divisions resurface and new challenges emerge.

How can we resist the reactionary impulses shaping our world? How can we cultivate a new fire to dispel the resurgent old darkness?

SHIUR founder Micki Weinberg, visiting from Berlin, will lead a text-based discourse drawing on theory, philosophy, literature, Kabbalah, and other sources, followed by a re-interpretation of the Havdalah fire ritual. Join people of all backgrounds, Jewish, Arab, Druze, and others as we collectively engage in new readings and perspectives.

Wine and cheese will be served.
