SHIUR new york derive/drift - opening event at jeffrey deitch

OCT 14, 2026 | new york| 6:30 Pm

Join us for the opening salon of SHIUR’s New York Dérive/Drift - a night of art, music performance, and text-based discourse.

This evening launches a multi-week series moving through galleries, artists’ studios, and other spaces across New York. At each stop, SHIUR brings art and music into conversation with text-based discourse drawing from Jewish texts, philosophy, literature and theory, allowing the works, the spaces, and the texts to encounter and transform one another.

The opening is also an opportunity for SHIUR supporters to participate directly in the practice at the center of what we do: reading together across intellectual traditions and generating new discourse through encounters between texts, people, art and place.

Drinks and snacks will be provided

Suggested donation: $100–$200

Funds raised support SHIUR’s nonprofit programming: creating serious cultural and intellectual encounters, keeping programs accessible, confronting antisemitism, and allowing art and culture to build meaningful connections across communities. SHIUR is a U.S. 501(c)(3); contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Space is limited.
