SHIUR is an independent non-profit & global community that brings people together through discourse and interdisciplinary programming. We create opportunities for participants of all backgrounds to collectively learn, build friendships, and cultivate new perspectives in a non-dogmatic, critical thinking environment. These events & initiatives enable communities to come together and learn in a much-needed safe environment. Our independence is what allows such diverse participants to find a home in SHIUR. This means we rely on your support.
We are raising funds for three vital programs:
1. Directly confronting ideological thinking in cultural, academic, and political spaces!
The aftermath of October 7 has taught us that many institutions that we thought immune from ideology have fallen victim to extremism. This has led to exclusion of Jewish, Israeli, and allies that stand up against antisemitism or do not conform to an antizionist obsessed worldview. Antisemitic incidents continue to surge globally. SHIUR is leading efforts to create safe and inclusive community programs, art exhibitions, retreats, and other events for Jews and allies. Your support will help us continue these essential programs that ensure a safe and secure presence for Jews and allies.

2. Support Innovative Middle Eastern Sustainable Coexistence Initiatives!
Amidst the recent rise in antisemitism, many Muslim and Arab voices have spoken out against Hamas, antisemitism, and in favor of coexistence with Israel and Jewish people. SHIUR has been at the forefront of bringing together Middle Eastern political dissidents and connecting them with contemporary Jewish life, including Syrians, Iranians, Palestinians, Lebanese and Iraqis. Unfortunately, many coexistence initiatives are politicized and marginalize moderate voices. SHIUR brings Arabs, Muslims, and Jews together in Europe, North & Latin America, and Israel for meaningful discourses, Shabbat dinners, cultural performances, retreats and more. Our programming promotes sustainable partnerships based on shared values, community, and humanism. Your contribution will support these crucial initiatives that transcend ideological echo chambers.

3. Support SHIUR Programming in Israel!
Since October 7, SHIUR has been providing extensive programming in Israel, offering a warm and welcoming space for Israelis and olim during these challenging times. Our impactful activities have been featured in Haaretz newspaper and across social media. Your support will help us continue to be a beacon of light and community in Israel.
