About the course

Do you engage with tradition and ritual through conformist performance—or critical reflection?

Life is filled with holidays and seasonal rituals. They can be performed unreflectively, in a conformist (and escapist) fashion—or they can become opportunities to explore contemporary questions through an alternative language: the rich library of myth, theory, ritual, and narrative found in the Jewish tradition.

With this in mind, join Micki Weinberg for a three-part series exploring primary sources from manuscripts and banned books alongside the Zohar and Lurianic Kabbalah, placing them in critical conversation with philosophy, literature, and theory.

The classes are held on Zoom at 6 PM Berlin time, 12 PM NYC.

Each session is 60 minutes long + 15 minutes for optional post class continued discussion.
